Meet Jacob. He's willfully unemployed and about to fly to San Diego. His favorite thing right now is having health coverage named after a fictional terrorist organization.
"COOOOOBBBRRRAAAA!!!!"
have fun on your trip, nerdface. see you when you get back, if you EVER COME BACK! MWAH HA HA HA!
Posted by: didofoot on July 18, 2002 11:45 AMwhen are you leaving?
i fucking live with you. why am i posting this question?
Posted by: michele on July 18, 2002 12:12 PMWhen I was packing up to leave, Erica came home. I said, "I'm leaving for San Diego in a few hours." She said, "What?"
How did you guys forget about this? I've had this planned for over a month....I talk about it all the time (at least I do at work....I *thought* I did at home, too). Remember when I wanted to talk to Jenny? Remember me saying, "I need to figure out when I could visit her while I'm in San Diego next month?" Hmmmmm....
So, I'm going to be down here until the 24th (back just in time for camping). Then it's off to New Jersey to see my parents. Then up to Eugene to see Doug. Busssssssy!
Posted by: Jacob on July 19, 2002 07:05 PMit's not that we didn't KNOW you were going to san diego. it's just that you never actually told us what DAY you were going and so we assumed it was later.
also back just in time to move everything in our garage to the back half of the garage and clean the entire house for prospective people to come and look at it.
dood, why didn't you offer me your car for the week? i would've taken good care of it.
amelie came. we decided to open it since you hadn't done any dishes for the last 2 weeks and we felt entitled. :)
so i have to go back to my hectic sunbathing/swimming life now.
p.s. since when did this comment feature become an email feature? grin. ah well.
Posted by: michele on July 20, 2002 06:21 PMSorry 'bout the car. For some reason I didn't even think about it. Also sorry 'bout the dishes. I've been running around like a chicken with my head cut off the last few weeks. Things should be calmer now that work's over, though.
Posted by: Jacob on July 21, 2002 04:53 PMsee, i'm really hoping you mean that you're running around like a chicken with its head cut off, rather than that you've been running around like a chicken, with your head cut off.
although, that would be funny as all hell to see.
Posted by: dianna on July 21, 2002 09:29 PMI stand firmly by what I originally said. My head is off, but I'm flapping my arms and saying "bawk bawk" through my head-stump. That's probably a more accurate visual image of my everyday activities than a headless chicken that looks nothing like me slumping over.
Posted by: Jacob on July 22, 2002 12:34 AMGo into my room and see if it's working on my computer. If not, look at the little flat blue box (a hub) next to my right speaker. There should be a total of three columns of lights on its face (two on the left side of the hub and one on the right side). If they're all on, try unplugging the hub, waiting 5 seconds, then plugging it back in. If one or more of them is not on, unplug/replug the network cables in the back of the hub or unplug/replug the network cables connected to the computer itself. Hopefully one of those works!
Posted by: Jacpb on July 22, 2002 10:43 AMEven if you were a headless chicken, Jacob, you wouldn't be the first. Mike beat you to it.
Neat site you got here. ;)
hey, that was an actual comment about the site. not an email message or a tangent or anything.
weeeird.
Posted by: didofoot on July 22, 2002 11:06 AMHmmmm...here I am near LA, but I've misplaced the address for the Movable Type login page. Could someone clue me in so I can (gasp) update?
Posted by: jacob on July 22, 2002 03:46 PMWell, this is interesting. Today was a day for me to just hang around at Denise's house since she had to work. We were going to go out and catch up on things tonight, then do something fun tomorrow.
But she just called. There was a car accident and apparently she is in some pain. If she was seriously hurt I think she would have told me, so I don't think it's TOO bad, but I also don't think it's just a little scratch. Hmmmmm.....what a strange trip this is turning out to be.
Posted by: Jacob on July 22, 2002 03:54 PMgood lord that girl! first she gets horrendously ill when she comes here and now she is potentially broken? that is not good at all. i hope she is feeling better soon.
have you seen jenny yet?
Posted by: michele on July 22, 2002 03:58 PMNo, Jenny is (understandably) pissed at me because I'm not going to be able to see her this trip down. Denise decided that instead of coming down to pick me up to drive back up to LA at 9pm yesterday, she needed to pick me up at 4pm. Which kind of destroyed my whole "hang out with Jenny all afternoon" plans. I feel bad about it, but there's really not much I could do....
