how did the tattooing go anyway?!?

Posted by: michele on November 18, 2002 03:40 PM

Not bad at all. It took less than an hour (maybe 45 minutes?), and didn't hurt as badly as I thought it would. Though she started out with a few test lines and I thought, "Wow, this is going to be EASY!" Then she said, "Nope, you've got tough skin so I'm going to have to go deeper *bzzzzzzt* and I thought, "OW!"
The tops of the curves were the most painful part for some reason....I guess my spine is immune to tattooing pain.

ooh, pictures! when we are to can have will seen it?

and I have your FUCKING birthday present. (irritation directed at self only.) but I haven't seen you in decades so let's make that happen, eh, cowboy?

Sounds lurvely. I only have a shoddy webcam picture of it now, so why not wait until you can see it with your own eyes?

Posted by: Jacob on November 18, 2002 04:00 PM

ok, but when? are you coming to the meeting on sunday?

Posted by: didofoot on November 18, 2002 04:00 PM

you HAVE to come to the meeting on sunday. it is super important and probably the last writing meeting we will have.

Posted by: michele on November 18, 2002 04:06 PM

yeah, and you haven't seen us in twelve years and some of us are married and some of us have had sex change operations and some of us have a birthday present for you!

whew!

Posted by: didofoot on November 18, 2002 04:13 PM

OK, I guess I should come on Sunday. As far as I can remember, my Sunday is quite free (though it feels odd to be planning for the weekend on a monday). So should I be there or be square? I think I should....

oh, you know, jacob, what i didn't tell you at the tattoo place is that instead of lines she actually tattooed you with very tiny fine print that says, "pretend you can see something 3D here, he'll never know the difference". it's just idexa's and my little joke.

and also, sunday? i thumb my nose at your sunday. what about going to the Cool Library (tm)? first you're not going to robotmedia, now you're not going librarying.... i think i'm going to go cry.

Posted by: dianna on November 21, 2002 05:23 PM

don't cry! can he go librarying AND go musicaling? hee hee. dianna, let's leave jacob completely out of this conversation and decide for him. do you accept my proposal? we can shift musical times if it will help.

Posted by: erica on November 21, 2002 07:11 PM

excellent. erica, i'd like to plan the library-going at around 2 pm, and i can take jacob down to the bart station and pack him off to the city by 3:30. he has, of course, no say in this. does that meet with your approval?

note: the above timeline is entirely fictional.

Posted by: dianna on November 21, 2002 09:05 PM

Oops. My brain is apparently not in coordination with my coordination (of time). I want to do BOTH librarying and musicaling. Can we do the musicaling as a dinner-time type thing and the librarying thing earlier (since, I think the library closes not-at-late)?

I'm not all here right now...

Posted by: Jacob on November 21, 2002 09:11 PM

sounds good to me.... the library closes, as you say, not-at-late, but rather at 5. so by any rational interpretation of dinnertime, there's plenty of time to do both.

of course, i think this will be less fun than coordinating everything with erica and prodding you around to make sure you follow the established timeline. are you sure i can't just do that?

Posted by: dianna on November 21, 2002 09:18 PM

jason can only come from 12-3 though so that kind of puts a hole in the whole scenario. and i don't particularly want to be in the city late cause then i'll have to go all the way back to phill to bed to get up in the morning early and go to work. and i'm disgustingly sick and already not looking forward to this too full weekend. maybe we should cancel the musical this week too? but that sucks cause we can't do it next weekend either i bet, unless jolie, erica, jacob, and jason will be back on sunday and willing to do it?

Posted by: michele on November 21, 2002 09:28 PM

i think jason can actually do a later thing, just not a 3-ish to 6-ish thing. but i'm making up the 6-ish part pretty much. could you work it, michele? jason?
