Speaking of movies, I just got back from seeing The Transporter, starring Jason Statham as Frank Martin, Qi Shu as Lai, and Ric Young as A Chinese Jack Palance. I wasn't expecting much; just lots of gunplay and fighting. And while there were one or two neat fight scenes, most of the action was just one cliche after another. Plus, the dialogue was even worse than I had expected it to be. To make matters worse, whoever was in charge of continuity wasn't doing their job. Things appear/disappear/turn into flamingos from shot to shot.
But at least Jack Palance was good for a laugh.

but.....but.....shu qi.....i mean.....porn star, jacob. porn star. come on. ahhhhhh sex and zen. good times. bad movie. good times. there's this part with a horse....although it's not the movie with the HORSE. but mainly there's the scene with the flute. yes the flute. gives you some perspective on what your high school peers were really doing in band class.
ew, your brother was in band. not you jacob. though maybe he was, do I know? nope.
welll but he didn't play the flute. and drums are much more difficult....to um....stick somewhere.....um. ew. ok. i was meaning more whats her name who played the flute and also did strange things with tubes of chapstick. or maybe she played the clarinet....
Thanks about the banner, michele. Oddly, though, OSX (the mac in the lab) turns it into a disaster area. Damn you, non-W3C compliant browser!
it works on my mac.....wierd.
p.s. but i still hate macs. with a vengenance.
Hmmmm. We have a mac (running OSX) and a PC in our lab, and the page seems to look the same on both machines. Fascinating....
Hmmm.....Is the tagline, "Girded, like a loin" sticking off the right edge of the banner when you see it, Doug? For some reason, that's what IE 5.2 for Mac is doing....
(sung to the tune of sex bomb, sex bomb.)
pork loin, pork loin.
michele, do drums not come with drum sticks? and would drum sticks not work just as well or better than a flute? i mean, um, i don't know. what? go away. stop looking at me!
i was trying to avoid thinking of that erica. thanks.
